| Since I have been a student at ucfv, there has only been a handful of times I have paid for parking. I mean I already pay to go to school there, why should I to pay to park. Today I was paid to park . Thats right, on my way back to the red dragon today, I happened upon a lonely little piece of paper. At first I walked right by but on second glance I noticed fancy print and shiny tape. It was a 5 dollar bill folded on the ground waiting for me. After spending 12 hours at school it was just what I needed to cheer me up. Not only does parking off campus reward you with cool stuff you might find on the way, but it also gives much needed exercise that sitting in a classroom just doesnt provide. I think next time I'll park even farther away to increase my chances of finding stuff. Yay for stuff and exercice! Boo to pay parking.

| Wowee an entire summer and part of fall has passed since I last posted. I'm not entirely sure why nobody posts anymore, it must be the facebook takeover.
I don't really have anything important to say other than that i'm officially 22 years of age, woot woot! Normally I get all out of sorts on my birthday and so far today hasnt been that way. When I was younger I remember having a good cry every birthday. It got kinda embarrassing, especially in front of all my friends so im committed not to do it this year. I'm not quite sure what triggered it, I guess it was just an overwhelming feeling from all the presents, costumes, cake and what have you. I always justified it by saying "it's my birthday I can cry if I want too".
These days I honestly dont have anything to cry about, other than that life is so good. The main reason behind that, among other things, is my enormous blessing of; the best friends in the world, an incredible girlfriend, and an ever loving God. I dont know why but I just felt I needed to express that.
Have a happy halloween and more importantly a happy reformation day!

| As most of you already know I just got back from an incredible road trip with 3 awesome friends. Of course those people being Steve, Beth, and Josh. Since I dont have a digital camera and my other roadtripees do, I wont be posting any pictures of ourselves (of which we have many incredible ones which i'm sure one of them will post). So instead I will tell you a little bit of what we did and where we went. Our first major stop was the beautiful San Fransisco. It was a beautiful night and the moon was so close it felt like we could touch it Next stop was the hotel in Highlands where we cooled off from the 40 degrees Celsius sunshine in a cold pool. We proceeded that night to Palm Springs where we quickly discovered its not much more than a small oasis in the desert in which rich people like to go during the winter. It was not even worth to show a picture. The next day was the big day at Coachella music festival. This day was filled with music from such artists as Regina Spector, fountains of Wayne, Hot Chip, Arcade Fire, Red Hot chilli Peppers, Tiesto, The rapture, Peter Bjorn and John, the Decemberist. Not including the ones i didnt see that were supposedly good, like Justice and Ghost Face Killas. Not to mention all the celebrities we hung out, with these are just a few of the pictures i managed to snap while chillin with theses ladies. Next we mosied on down to LA, the city of angels. It didn't live up to all its expectations but was cool to see. After LA we went to San Diego (pronounced SANT-DEE-AAHGO). This city proved to be the most enjoyable as we unknowingly sunburned our skin on mission beach as we carved the waves with our boogey boards. Then relaxing in a 4 star timeshare hotel near the heart of the city. Also visiting the world famous San Diego Zoo. In which the hippo was one of my favorite animals to see. We then headed home along the oregon coast which was also quite breathtaking. That concludes the trip and has resulted in 3 stronger friendships, for me anyways, which will happen when you travel nearly 6000km in a car which doubles as a tent. | | |
| So the race results are in and i did better than I expected but not as good as i would've hoped for. My time was 48 min and 46 sec (I think, not quite sure because im just remembering from the paper) it was about a minute slower than last year, I guess i'm getting old. Out of 54,317 people I came in 2966 but still 20 min slower than the first place Ethiopian. Thankfully I managed to beat my competition the lucrative Jake Kostelyk, who came in at a respectable time of approx. 52:44. Also Curtis Peters and Vanessa Dick came in at around 70 min which is not bad for first timers. Another achievemetn was that I managed to beat Josh's uncle by about a minute, better luck next time Bill. Anyways it was a good time although Im about ready to saw my calfs off to relieve the pain.
